Pakistan 'A' to tour New Zealand

LAHORE, Aug 5: Pakistan ``A'' cricket team will tour New Zealand from Nov 3 to Dec 12 this year.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) public relations advisor Lt-Col (retd) Rafi Nasim announced here on Wednesday afternoon that the Pakistan ``A'' side would take part in the 1998-99 Shell Conference competition from Nov 3 to Dec 1.

Thereafter, the Pakistan team will play a four-day game against the New Zealand ``A'' side besides also playing a series of three one-day international matches.

The tour will begin with a two-day game of Shell Conference competition on Nov 3 and 4 and conclude with the last one-day international match at Hamilton.

Following is tour programme of the Pakistan ``A'' team in New Zealand:

Shell Conference competition

Nov 3 and 4: Two-Day game vs Academy team at Lincoln.
Nov 6 to 8: Three-day match against Academy team (non-first-class) at Lincoln.
Nov 11 to 14: Four-day match against Northern team at Timaru.
Nov 16 to 19: Four-day game against Southern side at Christchurch.
Nov 23 to 26: Four-day match against Central team at Blenheim.
Nov 28 to Dec 1: Top team of the competition will play against No 2 side. No 3 team will compete against No 4 side of the contest.

New Zealand ``A'' vs Pakistan ``A'' series

Dec 4 to 7: Four-day match against New Zealand ``A'' at Westpac Trust Park, Hamilton.
Dec 9: First one-day at Blake Park, Tauranga.
Dec 10: Second one-day at Blake Park, Tauranga.
Dec 12: Third one-day at Westpac Trust Park, Hamilton.
