Last year PCB faced considerable difficulty in contacting Pakistani players while seeking their availability for Sahara Cup. Most of the players were playing in County and League Cricket in UK and they were not readily available by fax or on phone possibly because of their cricket commitments. In order to avoid this situation PCB requires that the following players should submit their availability in writing to Pakistan Cricket Board Head Office at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore for Sahara Cup 1998 being played from 10th September to 25th 1998.

It may be noted that on completion of Sahara Cup Pakistan cricket team will fly straight from Toronto to Pakistan to play against Australia. The last date for submission of availability is 28th February 1988.
