Aamir Sohail commends team effort

RAWALPINDI, Nov 24: Skipper Pakistan team Aamir Sohail has attributed one-day series triumph to a committed team effort. The batsmen led by Ijaz Ahmed and Saeed Anwar did an excellent job while the bowlers back them up with a disciplined bowling. Sohail gave all credit to the bowlers for getting the opponents out on a flat wicket. ``The tourists had kept up the run rate but our bowlers kept striking at regular intervals,'' he said.

Commenting on the tourists decision to put Pakistan in on a batting track, Sohail said that the advantage of toss sometimes pays off while at times it back fires.

To a question on whether more changes will be made for the Test series, the skipper hoped otherwise and stated that the frequent changes only disrupt consistency. ``The fitness problems of some players was one of the reason for the changes but hopefully the shortlisted nucleus of 16 to 17 players will be retained.''

Sohail said that the Test series against Zimbabwe will not be an easy one.

They have recently beaten India and are a very professional team, therefore, we have to give our best, he said.

The skipper maintained that there may not be many changes in the Test side.
