``It indicates no match will be washed away by rains... the mini-world cup tournament will not be hampered by rainfall,'' said a member of the committee while releasing the monthly forecast report. He said capital Dhaka may experience slight rainfall in the first half of the current month. Entire Dhaka division has been forecast 150 to 200 mm rainfall for 8 to 10 days while the normal is 167 mm.

``The tournament was scheduled considering the monsoon tenure. And now it's clear that the monsoon will not hamper the tounament. It's a great relief,'' said an official at Bangladesh Cricket Board.

In other Wills International Cup news:

• The newly installed floodlight system and an international standard electronics scoreboard at Bangabandhu Stadium, the venue for Wills International Cup, will be formally inaugurated on October 12. The country's first ever electronics scoreboard of the country is expected to be set up by South African company, Display Solution, this week.

• Thirty-eight journalists from abroad have applied for accreditation card to cover the tournament which expects the largest foreign media contingent covering any event in Bangladesh. No one from Sri Lanka, India and Zimbabwe has applied for the media cards to date, said Jalal Younus, secretary of the print media committee of the tournament.

• ICC President Jagmohan Dalmiya said on Friday that the fine details of the tie-breaker system have yet to be worked out. In the event of any matches before the final not being able to reach a result on the field, five bowlers from each side will bowl at an unprotected wicket in a similar playoff to the penalty kick shoot-out in soccer. Dalmiya said that it has not been decided whether bowlers would be bowling at one stump or three.

• Gary Kirsten is in doubt for South Africa's team for the Wills International Cup after breaking his finger while playing for Western Province on Friday night.
