PCB Chairman and staff express deep condolence on death of eminent journalist Farooq Mazhar

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Lt Gen Tauqir Zia on Saturday expressed his deep condolence on the passing away of eminent journalist and commentator Farooq Mazhar in a Bahrain Hospital.

In a message sent to Mrs Farooq Mazhar, he said "I have been shocked to hear of the sad news of your distinguished husband who passed away in a Bahrain Hospital after being in a coma for the past few days due to sudden heart attack and stroke he suffered during his transit while traveling to U.S.A. We in PCB hold late Farooq Mazhar in hight esteem for his professional repute, long and meritorious services for sports, he rendered over past many decades. His recent but brief association was with the PCB on the New Zealand Tour as the Media Manager and his untimely sudden departure leaves us all sad.

All my colleagues in PCB join me to convey our sincere and deep condolences to you and other members of the family and our prayers are with you on this great loss."

In separate messages Members of the PCB Advisory Council and former Pakistan Captains, Rameez Raja and Javed Miandad, Brig Munawar A Rana, Director PCB and Khalid Butt, Media Manager, PCB have also conveyed their sincere condolences to Mrs Mazhar on this occasion.
