17-member Afghan National Cricket team reaching Pakistan on 8th May 2001

Pakistan Cricket board has invited Afghan National Cricket Team to visit Pakistan next month on a goodwill tour to play four one-day matches at Peshawar and Rawalpindi.

The cricket squad form Afghanistan consisting of 17 members will reach Peshawar on May 8, 2001 to play a series of 4 goodwill one-day matches. The two one-day matches against, selected local teams will be played on May 10 and 11 respectively at Niaz Stadium Peshawar.

Arriving in Rawalpindi on May 12, Afghan Cricketers will play two one-dayers against local sides on May 13 and 14 at KRL Ground Rawalpindi.

The visit of the Afghan Cricket team to Pakistan is being hosted by Pakistan Cricket Board as a gesture of goodwill between the two countries to promote cricket in Afghanistan.
