Western Australian Cricket Association announces appointment of new Chief Executive Officer
Western Australian Cricket Association - 3 August 2001

Western Australian Cricket Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Kath White as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Mrs White was until recently the chief executive of City of Wanneroo. Prior to that she was the Managing Director of the West Coast College of TAFE. She has been twice awarded the prestigious Telstra Business Woman of the Year award in the public and corporate sector categories.

Mrs White has been a member of the WACA Executive Committee for the past two years. The Executive Committee believe that her love for cricket combined with her comprehensive management and business skills will provide the WACA with an outstanding leader for its management team.

The Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of the Australian Cricket Board have each expressed their support for Mrs White's appointment.

Mr Charles Fear, the Chairman of the WACA, expressed his delight at the prospect of working with Mrs White.

The efforts and performance of Mr Rod Lillis, the Acting Chief Executive Officer and of the WACA management and staff have been greatly appreciated by the WACA Executive Committee.

Mrs White and Mr Fear will be in attendance at todays press conference to answer further questions.
