BOP Cricket will host a Northern Regions Coaching Conference in Tauranga from 21st to 23rd September. This is a great opportunity for all coaches in the Northern Region to attend presentations by top coaches. Those who attended last year's conference in Auckland were very positive about the experience.

The Conference will be held at Fahys Motor Inn and the Tauranga Boys' College. Participants are expected from the top half of the North Island. Australian Coach, Peter Philpott will be a keynote speaker at the Conference.

Peter Philpott has been a former Australian Test Player, Australian Coach, Sri Lankan Coach, County Cricket Coach in England and coached in South Africa.

BOP Cricket's Coaching Director, David Johnston, says of Philpott, "Philpott is widely regarded as the leading spin bowling coach in the world. He was instrumental in the re-establishment of spin bowling as a force in world cricket.
