SOMERSET Article - 18 August 2001

Somerset County Cricket Club have received 1500 extra tickets for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Final, which will go on sale to the general public at 9 am on Monday morning. Peter Anderson told me at breakfast time today,"the office will remain closed on Saturday, to give the staff a chance to recover from the rush for tickets last week by the members.Originally we applied fro an extra 1000 tickets, but have been given 1500 to sell. These will be available from the office on Monday morning." He went on, "we have been delighted by the response for tickets, there has been even more interest than there was two years ago." With a large number of fans obtaining their tickets direct from Lord's there will be a very large contingent of Somerset supporters in the crowd.
