Rushmere talk at EP academy
Media Release - 20 August 2001

Mark Rushmere, the former Eastern Province stalwart and captain, will spend Wednesday morning (22 August) at the Lennon's EP Cricket Academy.

According to Russell Domingo, Lennon's EP Cricket Academy Coach, Rushmere will concentrate on the role of the captain and his talk promises to be extremely informative. Rushmere is widely regarded as one of South Africa's most astute first class captains.

Rushmere's first class career spanned from 1983-1999. He represented Eastern Province, Gauteng, Captained SA 'A', played in four One Day Internationals and one Test - the memorable encounter in the West Indies in the 1991/92 season.

Mark has played in 135 first class matches scoring 8 094 runs at an impressive average of 39.87. He has scored 20 hundreds and 38 first class fifties.
