There's been some brilliant bowling this afternoon. Look at the way Glenn McGrath got Ian Ward. First ball of a spell, he gets it right on the spot, angling it in from round the wicket, pitching on off stump, holding its line just a fraction, and it takes the edge.

OK, his bat was angled, and that's a technical flaw he has. But he's probably had that same technical flaw all his career, and he has made plenty of runs. It takes a great bowler to find that out. McGrath gets so many balls in the right area, he finds people out.

Alec Stewart's dismissal looked bad but I wouldn't be too critical. He was trying to push a single down to third man to keep the strike and all he succeeded in doing was squirting it to Mark Waugh at slip. Before that he didn't look too bad.

Jason Gillespie bowled well this afternoon. I was surprised to see Brett Lee get the new ball ahead of him because Gillespie has been not too far behind McGrath in this series - at times he has even outbowled him.

Australia bowled England out with quality fast bowling. It will be interesting to see what Gough, Caddick and Tudor can get out of the conditions, which are exactly the same - the cloud cover is still there, and the one Lee bowled Caddick with showed that the ball is still swinging. It's going to be a good test of the England bowlers.
