Bangladesh name squad for Asian Test Championship

DHAKA (Reuters)
Bangladesh have named a 14-man squad for the Asian Test championship beginning this month.

Bangladesh will travel to Karachi on August 21 to play a three-day warm-up match before moving to Multan for the first Test of the championship against Pakistan, beginning on August 29.

Bangladesh have lost all three Tests they have played since they gained Test status in 2000 - against India last November and twice against Zimbabwe in April.

Sri Lanka and India are the other teams in the championship.

Bangladesh squad: Naimur Rahman, Akram Khan, Aminul Islam, Javed Omar Belim, Mohammad Ashraful, Habibul Bashar, Khaled Masud, Enamul Hoque, Al-Shahriar, Hasibul Hossain, Manjurul Islam, Bikash Ranjan Das, Mohammad Sharif, Mehrab Hossain.
