See Sachin play anywhere in the world
Wisden CricInfo staff - August 15, 2001

Were you one of those people who were outraged when none of Sachin Tendulkar's innings made it into The Wisden 100, our new ratings system which assesses every Test since the first one in 1877? If so, here's your chance to let us know – and have the chance of winning a fantastic trip to see the Little Master bat in a Test match of your choice, anywhere in the world.

The Wisden 100 top innings, and the way they are calculated, can be found elsewhere on Wisden.com. You'll also find an explanation of why none of Tendulkar's innings quite reached the top 100, from our database director Steven Lynch. There's also a personal view from Sambit Bal, Wisden Online's India editor, whose mother stopped speaking to him for a while after Sachin's exclusion.

But it's more likely that you'll agree with Sir Donald Bradman, who selected Tendulkar in his alltime World XI, which was published recently. If so, let us know which innings you think was Tendulkar's finest in Tests, and explain exactly why you think it should have made it into the Wisden 100.

We will publish some of the comments here, and the best entry will win a trip for two to see Sachin bat in a Test match anywhere in the world.

Your explanation should not run to more than 300 words, and should be e-mailed to us.

Apart from the article, the e-mail should also include your name and address, and the country that you support. Once you've entered we will let you know our plans for the Indian version of the Wisden site, which will be launched shortly. We'll also send you details of our new Indian cricket magazine, the first edition of which is coming out later this year.

The closing date for the prize competition is October 19, 2001. The Editor's decision will be final, and no correspondence can be entered into. The winner's name will be published on Wisden.com on October 26.
