Jamie celebrates becoming a father
Richard Walsh - 4 December 2001

2001 has been a pretty good year for Jamie Cox. Not only did he lead Somerset to their best ever County Championship finish and win the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy for the club, his fiancee Helen has just given birth to their first baby.

Lochlan William Joseph Cox was born last weekend in Australia and weighed in at nine pounds.By all accounts Jamie is a very proud father, and mother and son are both doing well.

Jamie and Helen plan to marry in early spring before returning to Taunton in time for the start of the 2002 season.
