New Zealand Cricket - 6 December 2001

The CLEAR Black Caps side to play the Prime Minister's XI in a one-day match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra today has been announced.

The CLEAR Black Caps team to play the Prime Minister's XI is:

Craig McMillan (captain)
Nathan Astle
Matthew Bell
Shane Bond
Chris Cairns
Chris Drum
Mark Richardson
Mathew Sinclair
Daryl Tuffey
Lou Vincent
Glen Sulzberger

Several players from the team that played in the third Test against Australia have been rested, including wicket-keeper Adam Parore. Lou Vincent, who has kept wickets for Auckland, will take Parore's place behind the stumps.

Coach Denis Aberhart, said the game would be a nice relaxed way to end a demanding tour.

"Now the Test series is behind us I think the guys will be going out to have a little bit of fun today."

"It should be an entertaining match," he said.
