Four teams under the PCB XI title have been announced to play practice matches against the Pakistan senior and Junior team from Dec 25 to 31.

The games are being organised to provide practice to the Pakistan senior team before touring Bangladesh from Jan 2. The Pakistan junior team is to take part in the World Cup to be held in New Zealand from Jan 15.

PCB XI for Dec 25: Imran Farhat, Imran Nazir, Ijaz Ahmad Junior, Hasan Raza, Bazid Khan, Azhar Mahmood (captain), Shoaib Malik, Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan, Fazle Akbar, Abdur Rauf, Kamran Akmal, Qaiser Abbas(12th man).

PCB XI for Dec 27: Imran Nazir, Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul- Haq, Hasan Raza, Bazid Khan, Azhar Mahmood (captain), Shabir Ahmad, Rana Naveed-ul- Hasan, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Abdur Rauf, Agha Sabir(12th man).

PCB XI for Dec 29: Zeeshan Mohsin, Naveed Qureshi (captain), Bilal Asad,Usman Tariq,Asim Kamal,Atiq-uz-Zaman (vice captain),Yasir Arfat, Waqar Ahmad, Waqas Ahmad,Yasir Shah, Jafar Nazir, Mohammad Altaf (12th man).

PCBXI for Dec 31: Zeeshan Mohsin, Naveed Qureshi (captain), Bilal Asad, Usman Tariq, Rashid Amin,Atiq-uz- Zaman,M. Altaf,Yasir Shah, Waqar Ahmad, Waqas Ahmad, Jafar Nazir, Yasir Arafat.

Trophy trials: Around 300 probables appeared on the first day of two-day trials which began to select LCCA Blues and Whites for the forthcoming Quaid-i-Azam Grade-I Trophy at LCCA Ground Thursday.

Provincial teams: Trials to select rest of the provincial teams will be held at various centres on Dec 23 and 24.

The selected teams will represent their respective provinces in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy starting from Jan 2.

Trials to select the Rest of Sindh XI will be held at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad for which 63 probables have been invited.

For the rest of Balochistan XI, trials will be held at the PCB Academy ground, Karachi. Sixty-two probables have been invited for the trials.

Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar is the venue of the trials for the Rest of NWFP XI for which 55 probables have been invited.

At the Gaddafi Stadium, the trials will be held for the selection of the Rest of the Punjab XI.
