Eliaba added to Auckland side for ND match
27 December 2001

Auckland have named Suburbs New Lynn pace bowler Dunu Eliaba to their side for the State Championship match with Northern Districts starting at WestpacTrust Park tomorrow.

Returning to the team is left-arm spinner Mark Haslam who has been included in place of Dion Nash, who is serving a three-match suspension for a code of conduct violation.

Not considered for selection were Adam Parore, Mark Richardson, Lou Vincent, Chris Drum, and the recalled Matt Horne, all on Test duty with the CLEAR Black Caps in Wellington.

Unavailable for selection were Richard Pudney and Sam Whiteman because of injury, and Richard Morgan due to work commitments.

The State Auckland Aces lead the State Championship with 13 points after three completed rounds. They have recorded two outright wins and one no result due to weather from their three matches.

The State Auckland Aces team named to play the State Northern Knights is:

Brooke Walker (captain), Andre Adams, Aaron Barnes, Tama Canning, Dunu Eliaba, Mark Haslam, Nick Horsley, Llorne Howell, Tim McIntosh, Kyle Mills, Rob Nicol, Reece Young.
