Hussain hit by stomach bug
Wisden CricInfo staff - December 17, 2001

BANGALORE, India (Reuters)
England's captain Nasser Hussain is suffering from an upset stomach but should be fit for the third test against India starting on Wednesday, the English team's media manager has said.

"Nasser was really bad last night, but we expect him to be fine tomorrow," David Clarke told Reuters.

"He is on the mend... Everyone else is fine," he added.

Batsmen Mark Butcher and Michael Vaughan had suffered from stomach infections during last week's drawn second Test in Ahmedabad.

India lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Mohali by 10 wickets.

Hussain scored 85 in the first innings at Mohali and notched his second half-century of the series with a fighting 50 in the second Test.
