New Zealand batsman Nathan Astle will miss the second Test against Bangladesh in Wellington starting on December 26 after sustaining a hairline fracture in his hand.

Astle suffered the injury while fielding in the first Test and ruled himself out after an X-ray on the hand.

He will be replaced in the team by opener Matthew Horne in Wellington in the only change from the side that beat Bangladesh by an innings and 52 runs in Hamilton on Saturday.
