ACB ACB to support the development of Bangladesh cricket

Australian cricket players, coaches, umpires and administrators will be vital to the growth of cricket in Bangladesh after the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a five-year development agreement today.

The agreement details a number of on-field and off-field measures to assist Bangladesh become a stronger cricket country.

These measures, which have been devised at the request of and in consultation with BCB President Mr Saber Chowdhury MP, include:

The implementation of these measures will take place over the next five years.

ACB Chairman Denis Rogers said the ACB's commitment to the growth of Bangladesh cricket was part of its overall contribution to the game's global development.

"I am delighted we have reached a cricket development agreement with the Bangladesh Cricket Board," Mr Rogers said.

"The strategic alliances and international networking will play a pivotal role in creating and shaping the future of Bangladesh cricket, but also present unique opportunities for Australian players, coaches, officials and administrators.
