Warriors squad for Mercantile Mutual Cup final announced

WA selectors today announced a 13-man squad for the Mercantile Mutual Cup final against the New South Wales Blues at the WACA Ground this Sunday, 25 February 2001.

Fast bowler Duncan Spencer has been added to the WA 12 that lost to Queensland at the Gabba on Friday. Spencer had taken nine wickets at 21.00 in five matches before he was omitted for the clash against the Bulls.

New South Wales details will be released as they come to hand. The Blues are expected to arrive on Thursday and to train on Friday and Saturday.

Western Warriors squad: Tom Moody (captain), Jo Angel, Ryan Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Kade Harvey, Brad Hogg, Mike Hussey, Brendon Julian, Simon Katich, Marcus North, Duncan Spencer, Darren Wates, Brad Williams.

Match details – Mercantile Mutual Cup, WACA, 25 February 2001:

Umpires: Darrel Hair and Daryl Harper. Randolph Woolridge (third umpire), Ric Evans (match referee).

Hours of play: 10.30am-2pm, 2.45pm-6.15pm.

Members gate opens at 9am, public gates open at 9.30am with tickets on sale from 9am.

Tickets on sale only at the gate (adults $8.50, children and concession $4, family $17).
