Chris Martin, by conceding 61 runs in his 8 overs (RpO 7.62) achieved the dusbious distinction of recording the worst figures by a New Zealander in a eight over spell against Pakistan. Simon Doull had conceded 60 runs (RpO 7.50) in 8 overs at Sialkot on 06-12-1996.

Saqlain Mushtaq won his sixth man of the match award. This was also his maiden award against New Zealand. He now shares the honour of winning most awards by a Pakistani spinner in ODIs alongwith Abdul Qadir. Just for the record, Australian Shane Warne has won maximum awards as a spinner - 13 to be precise.
