ICC Code of Conduct Handbook

ICC Media Release January 9, 2001

The ICC has published its new Code of Conduct handbook, the definitive guide to regulations, playing conditions and classifications for international Test match and One Day International cricket.

New content for the 2001 edition includes:

  • revisions to the playing conditions for international cricket, to incorporate changes made by the MCC to the Laws of Cricket
  • the introduction of a new three stage process for the reporting and ongoing review of bowlers with suspect bowling actions
  • details of the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit's terms of reference

As a reference guide the handbook lists details of:

  • contacts for each of the ICC's 10 Full Members
  • ICC's international panel of match referees and umpires
  • Code of Conduct regulations for players, team officials and umpires

Further information covers qualification and admission details for Associate Members and classifications for first class and One Day International matches.

Free copies of the handbook are available to accredited cricketing, sports and news media world-wide. Requests for copies should be lodged by email to ICC Communications Manager Mark Harrison.
