Dawn Naqvi slams century in each innings

Fine ceturies by Ali Naqvi (119), Bilal Asad (112) and Mohammad Shahbaz (108) enabled Islamabad to amass 388 for six declared in their second innings, an overall lead of 451, at the end of third day's proceedings against Gujranwala at KRL stadium on Tuesday.

The visitors who surrender a 64 runs first innings lead were four without loss with Pervez Ghauri and Irfan Butt batting on one each.

The start of play set the tone for the day when visitors who were 212 for five wickets were skittled out for 229.Their last five batsmen added just 17 runs in 6.1 overs.

Then Islamabad, fighting to avoid relegation took command of the match as Ali Naqvi hammered his second century of the match and was involved in 189 runs stand for the first wicket with Mohammad Shahbaz. Naqvi struck 25 fours in his tay of 142 minutes.

Mobashir Nazir emerged as the most successful bowler taking three for 67.
