Corruption unit head on way to New Zealand
Lynn McConnell - 19 January 2001

International cricket's Anti Corruption Unit director Sir Paul Condon will be in New Zealand midway through next month to meet with anti corruption personnel in this country.

After visiting Australia, where he is to speak with Australian player Mark Waugh and to brief the executive board of the International Cricket Council on the work of his unit and their enquiries, he will fly to New Zealand to meet with New Zealand Cricket's Commission of Inquiry into the unsubstantiated allegations against former New Zealand captain Martin Crowe by Indian bookmaker Mukesh Gupta.

The New Zealand members of the Commission are Sir Ian Barker and Nick Davidson QC.

Condon will also hold a media briefing while in New Zealand
