Speedstar Debasish Mohanty is determined to return to the Test and one-day side after a brilliant performance in domestic cricket this season.

"I am determined and putting in an extra effort to make a comeback to the national team," Mohanty told PTI on Monday in Guwahati. The medium fast bowler from Orissa recalled with pride his place in the World Cup side in England where he performed well and said he was constantly working on his bowling and correcting faults to emerge as a world class bowler.

"I am putting some extra thought to develop my outswinger which is my natural delivery", the unassuming speedstar, who was in Guwahati to represent East Zone in the Duleep Trophy match, said.

Recalling his days in the national team, he expressed gratitude towards Saurav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar for thier helpful attitude. "It is always a pride to play with such world class players", he said.

On his future course of action, Mohanty said he would concentrate on domestic cricket and perform well in a bid to catch the selector's eye.
