Tasmania make two changes for Warriors Australia Day clash
WACA - 23 January 2001

The Tasmanian Tigers have made two changes to their side for the Mercantile Mutual Cup day clash with the Western Warriors at the WACA Ground this Friday 26 January 2001.

The Tigers have omitted Todd Pinnington and Kade Munday from the team that defeated the Southern Redbacks in Devonport last Sunday.

Brad Thomas will make his Mercantile Mutual Cup debut and Graeme Cunningham has earned a recall.

The Western Warriors team is yet to be finalised but WA must make room for gun batsman Simon Katich who will return to the line-up having missed the Warriors past two one-day matches after being called into the Australian one-day squad.

The 25-year-old left hander sits fifth on this year's MMC batting averages with 192 runs @ 64.00 with three half centuries from three innings.

With four matches to play, the Tasmanian Tigers still hold hopes of a finals berth, while a win for the Warriors on Friday would consolidate top spot.

* Please note: this match is a DAY clash. The WACA urges patrons to enjoy a day at the cricket before the Australia Day sky show on the river.

Tasmanian Tigers: Jamie Cox (captain), Dene Hills (vice-captain), Sean Clingeleffer, Graeme Cunningham, Michael DiVenuto, Scott Kremerskothen, Josh Marquet, Daniel Marsh, David Saker, Brad Thomas, Shane Watson, Damien Wright, Shaun Young. Greg Shipperd (coach), Darrin Ramshaw (assistant coach).
