Yorkshire are expected to announce the appointment of Western Australia's Wayne Clark as their new first-team coach tomorrow.
Previous coach Martyn Moxon's departure to Durham sparked Yorkshire's negotiations with Clark over the past week.
There is due to be a press conference in Leeds tomorrow to announce the appointment of the former Test fast-medium bowler. He is expected to take up his duties in April.
According to The Guardian newspaper, Clark was favoured for the job over a trio of English contenders - Mike Gatting, Bob Cottam and Andy Moles.
Clark played ten Tests for Australia, taking 44 wickets, during the period of the Packer defections in the late 1970s. But doubts about the legality of Clark's action brought his international career to a premature end.
