The long hunt to find New Zealand's champion primary schools cricket champions gets underway with the return from summer holiday breaks this week.

Tawa's Intermediate boys' and Eketahuna's girls' teams won the MILO trophies at the end of last year, and the Eketahuna team were given a huge home town welcome when they returned home from Auckland with their prize.

All preliminary round games are to be completed by April 6 leaving the semi-finals and final to be played in the fourth term.
