Somerset Seconds must travel to Yorkshire in semi final
Richard Walsh - 16 July 2001

In the semi-finals of the second XI one-day competition Somerset will play Yorkshire away. The match will be played on Monday August 6th at Scarborough, with August 7th as the reserve day.

The seconds start a four-day Championship match against Worcestershire at The County Ground on Tuesday, and will no doubt be hoping to get back to winning ways after losing to Hampshire at Southampton last week. Former Somerset batsman Nick Boulton is likely to feature in the visitors' line up.

Michael Coles is currently heading the Somerset Second XI batting averages in the Championship having scored 345 runs in his eight innings at an average of 43.12, followed by Wes Durston who has scored 341 at 42.62

Matthew Bulbeck is currently top of the bowling, having bowled 66 overs, 17 maidens, and taken 13 wickets for 163 runs at an average of 12.54.
