Easton and Martyr Worthy through to last 8 of Village KO
Mike Vimpany - 23 July 2001

Easton and Martyr Worthy are through to the Wadworth 6X Village Championship quarter-finals after a stunning nine-wicket win over Swardeston in Norfolk.

The Winchester club bowled and fielded superbly to dismiss the East Anglian champions for just 92 - Shaun Green (3-9) removing the tail after good early innings bowling from Stuart Charman and Mark Stone.

Easton encountered few difficulties in polishing off the runs, with Dave Birch hitting 53 not out and Kevin Neave an unbeaten 27.
