Somerset Under19's enjoy victory over Worcestershire

Somerset had by for the better of their two-day game against Worcestershire at Lansdown Cricket Club on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Somerset won the toss and batting first amassed 434 for 8. Tom Webley top scored with 83, wicketkeeper John Payn made 79 and Luke Stokes continued his run of good form with 76.

When Worcestershire batted they were bowled out for 255, with Webley being the pick of the home bowlers taking 4 for 47 from his 19 overs. James Hildreth also had impressive figures, ending with 13.4 overs, 3 wickets for 28.

Following on Worcestershire had reached 116 for 6 by close of play. Somerset win the match on first innings.

The Under 19's are in action again on Thursday when they take on Warwickshire at Taunton School in another two-day match.
