Zimbabwe v Sri Lanka 1999-2000
Wisden CricInfo staff - July 5, 2001

At Harare, December 15. Sri Lanka won by 98 runs. Toss: Zimbabwe.

The Zimbabwean bowlers, with Olonga the most impressive, kept Sri Lanka's batsmen in check until their final flurry brought 47 in the last four overs. Zimbabwe were well on target, reaching 100 with one wicket down, but Grant Flower's dismissal was the signal for one batsman after another to hurl himself over the cliff. Whittall was an honourable exception to this self-destruction, but Chandana removed his last three partners in ten balls to end the game with 13 overs to spare.

Man of the Match: U. D. U. Chandana.
