Essex CCC - 12 June 2001
Essex County Cricket Club has signed Richard Clinton on a two-year contract. Richard, 19, joins us from Kent where he played in 1999 and 2000.
The son of former Kent and Surrey batsman Grahame, Richard is a talented left-handed batsman and a medium paced right-arm bowler.
Chief Executive David East commented:
"We are delighted to welcome Richard to Essex. He is a very promising young player and we wish him every success with the Club."
