NatWest Series prizes up for grabs

Three awards are up for grabs in this year's NatWest Series: The Player of The NatWest Series, Catch of The NatWest Series and Fans' Player of The NatWest Series, in addition to the presentation of the trophy to the winning side.

The winning team will receive a cheque for £20,000 and each winning player will be presented with a specially commissioned black stump with an engraved silver brace.

The Player of The NatWest Series will be selected by a media panel to include representatives from each of the three competing nations, England, Australia and Pakistan. The winner will be presented with an engraved gold medal and a cheque for £3,000.

Sky Sports selected the following six outstanding catches in The NatWest Series, and today awarded Catch of The NatWest Series to Shahid Afridi (Pakistan) v England at Lord's on 12th June. Shahid will be presented with his medal and cheque for £2,000 on Saturday at Lord's.

Fans will also have a chance to vote for their Player of The NatWest Series this week by logging on to the official NatWest Series website, www.natwestseries.com. The Fans Player of The NatWest Series will be presented with a cheque of £1,000 and an engraved medal.

The NatWest Series is the triangular One-Day International tournament involving England and the two visiting Test teams. All matches running from 7 June through to the final at Lords on 23 June are broadcast live on Sky TV.

NatWest has been a major sponsor of cricket since 1981 when the bank began 20 years of sponsorship of The NatWest Trophy. In 2000, following a successful sponsorship of the Cricket World Cup, NatWest became the first title sponsor of the new international, one-day triangular competition, The NatWest Series.
