Somerset Second XI win again

Somerset Seconds recorded their third victory on the trot in the one day competition when they beat Glamorgan Seconds at Newport on Monday.

Feilding a strong side Somerset restricted Glamorgan Second XI to 226 for 8 in their 50 overs.

In reply Somerset reached their target with just two balls of the final over left to record a two wicket victory.

Graham Rose was the top scorer in the Somerset total of 228 for 8 with Piran Holloway making 62 and Michael Coles chipping in with another classy 29.

Somerset Second XI travel to Southampton to play Hampshire on Wednesday and then return to The County Ground on Friday to face Glamorgan again.
