Ross Edwards
Wisden CricInfo staff - June 15, 2001

Wisden overview
No Australian side of the mid-1970s seemed quite complete without sandy-haired Ross Edwards in the covers, sometimes, with the slip cordon stacked, patrolling the area alone, yet ever a danger to the unwary. A hard-working batsman at his best in tight corners, he was the first West Australian to score a Test hundred at the WACA, and the first Aussie to fall one short of a hundred in a Test at Lord's. He came out of retirement to join World Series Cricket, and enjoyed a belated payday after years of scrimping and saving in order to play the game, and went on to become a television executive.
