Sir Donald Bradman tribute at the WACA
Western Australia Cricket Association - 1 March 2001

Cricket fans and players will pay tribute to the passing of Sir Donald Bradman before play starts tomorrow, Friday 2 March, in the Pura Cup match at the WACA Ground.

At approximately 10.20am, Reverend Shepherd from St George's Cathedral will say a prayer in memory of Australia's greatest cricket player and one minute's silence will be observed.

The Western Warriors, Southern Redbacks, officials and umpires will be on the field for the ceremony and players and umpires will also wear black armbands during the match.

The Western Australian Cricket Association urges all clubs to recognise the passing of Sir Donald Bradman in matches this weekend.

Play in the Pura Cup match gets underway at 10.30am.
