PCB sues ex-players for fine recovery and appoints Iqbal Sikander on bowling panel
Pakistan Cricket Board - 16 March 2001

  1. In pursuance of Justice Malik Muhammad Qayyum's recommendations PCB has filed a case for the recovery of the fines from Saleem Malik, Ata-ur-Rehman and Akram Raza. Fines from Wasim Akram, Saeed Anwar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis, the players on the current Pakistan team, had already been deducted on the settlement of their accounts following the England tour of Pakistan.

    The first hearing of the case in the court of Mr. Khalid Mahmood Ranjah, Civil Judge Lahore has been set on 18th April 2001.

  2. Mr. Iqbal Sikander has accepted to be on the panel of PCB Group of Bowling Advisors in place of Mr. Abdul Qadir, who has already given his non-availability.
