Inauguration of National Cricket Academy and Juniors Cricket Academy on 14 May

The National Cricket Academy and Pakistan Juniors Cricket Academy will be formally inaugurated on Monday May, 14 2001 at 5:00 p.m. Former Test Cricketer and Honorary Secretary BCCP Ijaz Butt will be the Chief Guest at the ceremony to be held at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore tomorrow (Monday).

The Regional Academies, which will also start functioning simultaneously from tomorrow (Monday) at Karachi, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, will be formally inaugurated on staggered dates, announced earlier. Karachi Academy will be formally inaugurated on Tuesday 15 May 2001 with Mr. Omar Querishi as the Chief Guest and Rawalpindi Academy on Wednesday 16 May 2001, with Mr. Khalid Mahmud, as the Chief Guest. Peshawar Academy will be formally inaugurated on Thursday May 18, 2001, with Governor NWFP, Lt Gen (R) Iftikhar Hussain as the Chief Guest, Chairman PCB Lt Gen Taquir Zia will also be present on this occasion.
