Dawn Khizar lectures on rules

Former Test umpire Khizar Hayat delivered a lecture on 'rules of the game" at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The academy started functioning on May 14 and the 22 players picked for it have been getting regular training daily. Besides, 24 players of the Pakistan Junior Academy (PJA) are also being imparted training.

The morning session at the NCA lasts from 5:30 am to 11:30 am. The programme in this session includes physical exercises, aerobics, weight-training, swimming and fielding drills. The afternoon session lasts from 4 pm to 7 pm. For four days in a week, the cricketers do net-practice. The boys are also showed their video-films and discussion on their technique is held in which the coaches point out flaws to the particular players.
