Sri Lanka committed to playing in Sharjah
CricInfo - 22 May 2001

India may be reluctant to play in Sharjah, but Sri Lanka have confirmed their commitment to the biannual triangular tournaments by signing a three-year deal with the Cricketer Benefit Fund Series (CBFS). Sri Lanka will now participate in the next six tournaments, the first of which will be in October.

The financial details of the agreement, which was signed by the Sports Minister, Lakshmann Kiriella, were not revealed, but it comes with a Rs55 million commitment to invest in a new international cricket stadium in Pallekelle, Kandy.
