It's being reported from the Caribbean that Ricky Skerritt has been sacked as West Indies team manager. Although there's been no confirmation of Skerritt's dismissal from the West Indies Cricket Board, more details are expected soon.

Meanwhile there is much speculation over the reasons for his firing, and over who will replace him for the tours of Zimbabwe and Kenya later this summer.

Skerritt's dismissal follows a dismal series of results for the West Indies, who were recently beaten 2-1 at home by South Africa, following their 5-0 trouncing in Australia and 3-1 defeat in England last year.
