An SCB XI travelled to Falmouth on Sunday 27th May for a 38 Counties Competition match against Cornwall. Due to weather conditions the match was reduced to 43 overs a side. Cornwall batted first and reached 178-8, with 50 from Jonathan Kent, 35 from Tim Edwards and 31 from Neil Edwards. There were 3 wickets for Ian Jones and 2 each for Joe Tucker and Richard Pannell.

In reply SCB reached 41-1 off 10 overs (Kevin Parsons 25), before the rain returned and the match was abandoned. Each side takes 1 point.
