* Indian cricketers to play series without logo

The Indian cricket team members currently in Zimbabwe will play the series without any sponsors logo on their clothing. According to the executive secretary of the BCCI, Sharad Diwadkar, there will be no sponsors logo on the Indian players during the tour.

It may be recalled that the BCCI recently signed a lucrative sponsorship agreement with TWI-IMG worth crores of rupees. However the deal came into force only from the tour of Sri Lanka in July. The BCCI had announced that it would persuade former sponsors ITC to continue its hotel business logo for the current tour since the new law does not permit any tobacco products advertisements. The BCCI was hopeful that the matter would be sorted out by the first Test beginning from June 7. But with no decision yet taken, there would be no commercial logo on the players non leading arm (one not facing the telecast).

* Cricket museum likely at Mumbai

The headquarters committee of the Board of the Control for Cricket in India which will meet in Mumbai on June 2 will discuss the proposal of the former BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur of allotting a piece of land in the north stand of the Brabourne stadium for extending the BCCI office as well as setting up a cricket museum which will showcase the history of Indian cricket.

BCCI president AC Muthiah is expected to attend the meeting. The other members of the committee include Raj Singh Dungarpur, BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele, BCCI treasurer Kishore Rungta, TNCA secretary Ashok Kumbhat and other past and present office bearers.
