Beyond The Test World receives support of ICC Development Program
ICC Development Media Release - November 14, 2001

A month ago it seemed that Beyond The Test World had appeared for the last time. The entertaining column focusing on cricket in some of the more unusual locations around the world was being wound up due to commercial considerations.

However after discussions between the editor of the column, Tony Munro, and the ICC Development Manager, Andrew Eade, it can now be announced that the column will continue with the support of the ICC Development Program.

"BTTW has become a very informative and interesting column over the last 12 months," said Eade. "It provides a valuable service in spreading the word about what is happening in Associate and Affiliate member countries. It also introduces many New Territories to the family of global cricket. Consequently we thought we would step up and offer Tony some support so that he can continue his good work."

The column will now be hosted under the Development Section of the ICC web site and will interact more freely with other development features such as the new High Performance column from Bob Woolmer which is soon to be launched.

"I'm delighted we have found a way to continue the column," commented Munro." We have a lot of loyal readers out there and it is great that they will still be able to follow what goes on Beyond The Test World. And now that we are working with the ICC Development Program we hope to be able to expand the column even further."
