South Africa v Sri Lanka 2000-01
Wisden CricInfo staff - October 18, 2001

At Bloemfontein, January 14. South Africa won by five wickets. Toss: South Africa. International debut: J. M. Kemp.
Sri Lanka's batting recalled their international youth: six scores in the twenties and thirties but nothing substantial enough to provide a challenging target. Pollock collected his tenth wicket of the series before tailender Wickremasinghe had the audacity to belt him to the boundary on his way to a 40-ball 32. With only 207 needed to win, Gibbs played with obvious restraint for 79 in 112 deliveries, his first significant innings after three failures since his return from suspension. Boje once again relished batting up the order, his 40 coming from just 31 balls, and South Africa coasted to another victory.
Man of the Match: H. H. Gibbs.
