Indian All-star squad up for Hong Kong Sixes Challenge

Indian cricket stars Ajit Agarkar, Robin Singh and Yuvraj Singh have been named in the Indian squad for the Cathay Pacific / Standard Chartered Hong Kong Cricket Sixes. Also in the squad are current Indian one-day international players Hemang Badani, Sunil Joshi, Reetinder Singh Sodhi plus Rohan Gavasakar, son of Indian cricketing legend Sunil Gavasakar.

The Indians would be eyeing for the first prize of HK$640,000 on offer. Tickets for the Cathay Pacific / Standard Chartered Hong Kong Cricket Sixes are now on sale from Hong Kong Cricket Club, the Kowloon Cricket Club and Dot Cod Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar in the Prince's Building, Central.

Passes for the two day tournament are priced at HK$450 for adults with children's tickets (15 years and under) costing $HK250. Corporate hospitality is also available.

Five Hong Kong cricketers have been invited to join the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy in Australia. C Manoj, Roy Lamsam, Imran Farcy, Skhawat Ali and Louis Chan will be visiting Adelaide for a two week period from the 6th of October 2001 to the 20th of October 2001. They will be involved in a full time cricket related program and the visit should be most beneficial to their overall development. The placements are supported by the ICC Development Program.

HKCA's "Primary Schools' Cricket Playground League 2000" sponsored by Zinoki Ltd has been chosen as one of the finalists of the HK Sports Development Board's 4th "Excellence in Sports Marketing Awards". The awards function will be held in the week of 22nd October 2001.
