Malalasekara and Tennekoon to represent Sri Lanka at the ICC meeting

Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) Vijaya Malalasekara and Chief Executive Anura Tennekoon will represent Sri Lanka at the ICC Executive Board Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Tennekoon is already in Malaysia attending the Cricket Committee Management meeting, whilst the Malalsekera will fly tomorrow to attend the Executive Board Meeting on the 18, 19 October.

A media release from the International Cricket Council said: "The Executive Board will consider a wide range of matters ranging from tougher measures on player discipline to penalties for countries failing to fulfill fixture commitments, the feasibility of a One Day International world rankings system and the adoption of the ICC's first strategic plan."

Commenting on the meeting, the ICC Chairman Malcolm Gray, said: "Last week we spoke about the new ICC and it's aims and objectives for the international game. This week in Kuala Lumpur we return to the business of making it happen. There is a full and demanding agenda that will require serious debate and decision making by members to allow the ICC to move forward across a number of important fronts."
