Fleming declares to give NZ some bowling practice
AAP - 19 October 2001

New Zealand's bowlers will have a valuable two-hour stint following captain Stephen Fleming's declaration at tea on the final day of their tour match against the Queensland Academy of Sport at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane.

Fleming called a halt to New Zealand's innings straight after wicketkeeper Adam Parore brought up his century with a boundary.

The Black Caps finished at six for 296, Parore unbeaten on 100.

Earlier, Parore and Fleming put together a 158-run partnership to rescue the side after it teetered at 5-110.

The unlikely winning target for the QAS is 327.
